'We Are Who We Are' This project was my Final Major Project at University. ‘We Are Who We Are’ is a personal and political exploration of queer identity, representation, and the ongoing fight for equality. Through portraits combined with graphic elements and personal quotes, the project enhances the voices of queer individuals, sharing their lived experiences and confronting harmful media stereotypes. I have presented this in the form of three zines, each focusing on a different element of this wider social issue. Alongside this are documentary photographs from protests supporting transgender rights, highlighting the real-world impact of underrepresentation and discrimination. This work is close to my heart as it reflects the issues faced by much of the queer community. By inviting viewers to engage with authentic stories, I aim to challenge mainstream narratives and encourage empathy, visibility, and deeper understanding. This project serves as a visual protest, a celebration of identity, and a call for justice. To see Zines, please click on these links. Eye of the Beholder For this series, I experimented with digital manipulation. I wanted to create an uncomfortable horror-like piece that would allow the audience to interpret the meaning of the work in their own way.
Architecture on Film For this project, I used a 35mm film to capture the architecture of cathedrals in Norwich. I focused on highlighting the detail and beauty of the cathedrals and liked the contrast of the cathedrals with the film aesthetic.
